The upcoming Senate meeting on Tuesday, May 19, at 2:30 pm is also a splendid opportunity to show our support for the arts. The Zoom link for the meeting, which is open to the public, is:

The meeting will address the future of arts programming at the university, including the Theatre and Motion Picture Arts programs that were recently shutdown by Thorneloe University. In particular, we would draw your attention to the decision item on program closure on p. 28 of the Senate package (attached).

Also please find below a resolution from the recent Faculty of Arts Council meeting that recommends the transfer of programs from the federated universities to Laurentian. (The vote in favour of the transfer was 28 in favour, 0 against, 2 abstentions.) There will be a motion to suspend the bylaws in order to allow the vote on the resolution to take place.
